I've been taking my two cats, Penelope and Earl, to Huron as long as I've had them, and over the years they've seen Dr. Ulrich, Dr. Leef (when she was still with the practice), and most recently Dr. McEwan. All three have been caring and gentle with my cats, and patient and informative with me. The vet isn't usually a place of joy but every person who works there, from the front desk staff, to the assistants, to the doctors, has made the experience of bringing in a sick yowling cat as pleasant as can possibly be.
I'm moving out of state, and one of the things I'll miss most about living here is this gem of a practice.

Huron really takes the time to get to know your animal(s) and you, listens carefully to your concerns and provides the most up to date information to support you in decision making. I've been coming to Huron with both my dog and my cat for 4 years--longest we've stayed with any vet--and have felt so cared for during times of sickness as well as during general check ups. Dr. Ulrich is very smart and trustworthy, and when he can't provide something specific he does an excellent job of referring to the best specialists around. He very clearly puts his whole heart into his practice and cares deeply for his patients. Thank you, Huron!

It can be so hard to find a vet to trust with the care of your pet. We lucked out with Huron, as they were one of the first places we visited and we could not have found anywhere better. We love every vet here, as well as the fantastic support staff. They are knowledgeable, skilled, and truly empathetic. The take great care of our little guy, and they do fantastic education to help us be the best owners we can be. If you’re able to make this place your vet, you absolutely should.

"Can't say enough good things about Huron! All members of the staff are knowledgable, friendly, and responsive. Dr. McEwan took a considerable amount of time with us during our first appointment to catch up on our puppy's background and listened / responded thoughtfully. We've also seen Dr. Ulrich, who was super helpful and caring towards our pup. The tech that discharged our pup from his neuter surgery was thorough and warm, and called to check in a few days later just to make sure everything was going well. Overall, 10/10!"
"I cannot speak highly enough of the team at Huron Veterinary Hospital. We recently moved about an hour away and tried a local vet in NH. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the service and care provided - they were great. But they weren't right for us. Huron is well worth the hour drive. I could go on and on but I'll just say that if you are looking for a vet at a time when Huron is accepting new patients, I recommend taking the opportunity to have your dog cared for by this incredible team. You can try but you won't find anyone better!"
"The manager (I assume they mean the woman at the front desk, though I don’t know her official title) was incredibly nice and even knew who we (and our cat!) were when we walked in. They were so nice to our cat Sal and treated him with so much kindness and respect. Sal is our first cat, so they spent over an hour with us talking about care, common illnesses, and behaviors. We didn’t feel rushed at all and they made it as easy as possible on our terrified kitty, letting him stay in the crate for most of the visit and comforting him before vaccinations and other treatments. Highly recommend, I wouldn’t go anywhere else in this area."
"I love love LOVE this place. My dog is super nervous, but she found an immediate affection for Dr. Ulrich. All of the nurses genuinely love animals. The best vet I've ever been to. My dog has gone here for numerous "things" and we've experienced nothing less than professionalism and animal compassion. I would recommend this vet to anyone. We've been going here for about 5 years now and will continue to do so for years to come."
"Truly the best there is! Hunter was a very fearful dog when we adopted him and is pretty wary of any new people. The patience and love that Dr. Ulrich and the entire Huron team showered him with have been amazing over the past 9 years. They really know how to work with animals.
